EU Subsidies for Entrepreneurs in East Netherlands 2017

Entrepreneurs in the east of the Netherlands (specifically the provinces of Overijssel and Gelderland) are eligible for subsidies from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) in 2017. Roughly €47 million is available for various programs and projects, especially for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) that are active in innovation and sustainability. In addition, there is strong emphasis on SMEs collaborating with other companies, both large and small, as well as institutes of higher learning, government organizations and with intermediaries.

WBSO benefits RDF projects

The Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs has determined that beneficiaries of the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) during program years 2014 - 2020 who have benefited from a Dutch fiscal stimulus package need not deduct their costs over this period. This applies to the funds such as the WBSO (R&D Tax Credit), the RDA deduction and other various fiscal stimulus measures. In addition to the financial benefits for the beneficiaries, administrative liabilities are also being reduced.

European Subsidy for Bread Without Carbohydrates

The Bakker Wiltink company (a large-scale bakery located in Doetinchem), and TOP BV (the food technology and life science institute located in Wageningen) have joined forces to research the possibility of baking bread without carbohydrates. This research is being financed by the European Fund for Regional Development (EFRD), which combines the resources of the European Union, the government of the Netherlands, and the province of Gelderland. A total of €700,000 is being invested in order to discover a breakthrough in food production.
