The European Digipro project has been launched especially for innovation SMEs in the Dutch-German border region. At Digipro it's all about the digital transformation of products, production processes and business models.
Digipro is a European INTERREG VA project with the aim of realizing more product and process innovations in the manufacturing industry, IT engineering and technical installation sectors. The duration of the project is four years: from 1 May 2017 to 1 May 2021.
Digipro encourages SMEs in the border region to actively anticipate and participate in the digital transformation of (production) processes and products. In this way, SMEs make timely use of the opportunities that arise from the digital transformation that arises from the developments surrounding Smart Industry.
Through cross-border exchange, a good number of German and Dutch SMEs in the project area are using their innovation potential. German and Dutch SMEs in the project area can benefit from subsidies for coaching, concept development and feasibility studies. Financing for the implementation of an R&D plan and prototype building is also possible.
The project area concerns Gelderland, East Brabant, Limburg and part of North Rhine Westphalia. In addition, Digipro offers:
- Cross-border information meetings and workshops;
- Coaching processes;
- Product, process and business model development with input from the neighboring country;
- Clustering with other SMEs and knowledge institutions from the neighboring country;
- Exchange across the border between Smart Industry-field labs and other shared facilities.
Oost NL is Digipro's leadpartner and works intensively with the project partners: Huis van de Brabantse Kempen, LIOF, Gelderland Regional Center for Technology Foundation, IHK Niederrhein, MCC, GEMIT and Euregio Rijn-Waal.
In addition to this project team, there is a large circle of "associated partners". These are organizations that are not part of the partnership, but do help facilitate the implementation of the project.
Digipro is supported by the European Union from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) as part of the INTERREG VA program Deutschland-Nederland. The project is co-financed by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, the provinces of Gelderland, Limburg and Noord-Brabant, Die Landesregierung Nordrhein-Westfalen, European Union / INTERREG.
