The main focus will be on opportunities the Eurostars Funding Programme can offer companies (in particular SMEs) and research institutions in the upcoming calls in 2017. The event will kick off congratulating last year ‘s approved projects, followed by a general introduction to the Eurostars Programme.
During several break-out sessions you can hear about the experiences of successful Eurostars companies within your field of expertise. It will be possible to pitch project ideas or partner requests to a group of peers. In other break-out sessions the rules for participation will be discussed, including useful tips on how to write successful applications. As in Eurostars, this event will be open to all technology areas, however, for practical reasons the break-out sessions have a thematic focus including the following topics:
• ICT and Electronics
• Life Sciences and Health
• Industrial manufacturing
• Energy technologies
• Agrofood technology / Biotechnology
Matchmaking between companies (SMEs) and research institutes from both the Netherlands and abroad will be an important part of this event. During the afternoon participants will have the opportunity to attend pre-arranged, one-on-one meetings. The matchmaking will be organised in close cooperation with the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN). The Event will conclude with a networking reception where project ideas can be discussed with representatives of several national Eurostars offices, including the Brussels Eurostars Secretariat.
